The Jendouba Regional Chamber

Under Article 34 of Organic Law No. 2019-41 of 30 April 2019, the Jendouba Regional Chamber of the Court of Accounts exercises the powers conferred on the Court in respect of regional and local administrative authorities, public establishments and enterprises, and all entities, whatever their designation, in whose capital the State, local authorities or public establishments and enterprises participate, and whose principal headquarters or place of activity lies within the Chamber’s territorial jurisdiction.

The Chamber also exercises the powers provided for in Article 13 of that Law in respect of political parties, associations, cooperatives, and private establishments and bodies, whatever their designation, whose headquarters lie within the Chamber’s territorial jurisdiction.

When the Court of Accounts exercises its judicial jurisdiction, the Chamber delivers judgments at first instance.

Under the decision of the First President of the Court of Accounts dated 20 January 2020 and published in Official Gazette No. 12 of 11 February 2020, this Chamber’s territorial jurisdiction covers the governorates of Jendouba and Le Kef. Pending the establishment of the Béja Regional Chamber, the Jendouba Regional Chamber’s territorial jurisdiction currently also extends to the governorates of Béja and Siliana.
