The Court of Audit organised two consultative meetings to examine the draft new statute for magistrates of the Court of Audit and the draft new statute for registrars and financial justice assistants.
Both drafts form part of the implementation of the organic law on the Court of Audit, particularly Article 20. Their aim is to adapt the statutes to the requirements of the Court’s duties, strengthen its effectiveness and independence, and ensure alignment with international standards for financial justice and supreme audit.
These meetings provided a valuable opportunity to exchange views and discuss the main aspects of both drafts. The approach seeks to develop the legal and functional framework for financial magistrates and the various professional groups, or staff categories, working within the Court of Audit, while consolidating its role in upholding good governance and sound management of public funds.
