Training course on performance-based budgeting with World Bank support, from 2 to 4 April 2025.
As part of its continuing efforts to improve its performance and internal governance, the Court of Audit has begun a project to establish performance-based budgeting, given its specific role within the State budget, in application of its organic law and of the decision of its plenary assembly to adopt a programme-based budget classification reflecting its judicial and audit functions and its leadership and support functions.
This project is among the most significant reforms introduced by the Court to address its strategic priorities: achieving fair and effective financial justice, ensuring oversight of public funds with a lasting impact, and becoming a model among State institutions for sound management and adherence to the principles of integrity, transparency, efficiency and accountability.
The transition from an input-based budget to one based on performance and results requires commitment and knowledge of the relevant rules and mechanisms at all levels of the Court, to guide and implement the project effectively.
